Salman Khan is one of the biggest entertainers in Bollywood. The actor has created his own image among his fans with his ‘hatke’ characters and action packed movies. Popular as ‘Bhai’ among fans, Salman Khan has worked in different types of movies and tried his hands on romantic, comedy, serious and action movies. But there was a time when the actor was more in news for controversies than success of his movies. Between 2005 and 2009, his career almost got over due to a series of flop movies. Further, he also got into problems due to cases including arms case, chinkara poaching case and others.
But like a hero in movies, Salman Khan came out of all the problems and got into revival mode after Wanted (2009). After success of this movie, the actor never looked back and gave a series of blockbuster movies. He also started his clothing brand ‘Being Human’ for charity purpose. The actor might have gone through a tough phase from 2005 to 2009, but there is no doubt that he gave the industry some of the biggest hits and memorable movies.

Maine Pyar Kiya (1989)
Maine Pyar Kiya was Salman Khan’s debut movie as a lead actor. This movie gave the audience their favorite ‘Prem’ who they love till date. Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the movie was a super duper hit. Reaping the benefits of his role as Prem, Salman repeated the same character in various movies.
Andaz Apna Apna (1993)
Andaz Apna Apna was a sleeper hit as the movie failed to gain attention initially, but once people started loving it, the movie became a feather in the cap of Salman’s memorable movies. Though the movie couldn’t make big in terms of box office collection, but gradually it became a cult film due to its premier and repeat telecast on movie.
Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994)
Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is one of the best family films Salman Khan has worked in. From a good son to loving ‘dewar’ and caring lover, he did complete justice to his character in the movie. Hum Aapke Hain Kaun won National Film Award for its amazing story and success.
Karan Arjun (1995)
Starring Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Raakhee in lead roles, Karan Arjun was an action thriller drama movie. Reincarnation of Durga’s sons Karan and Arjun was the major attraction of the movie.
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)
Salman Khan worked with his then girlfriend Aishwarya Rai in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Their onscreen chemistry got a lot of admiration from fans as well as critics. His character ‘Sameer’ got popularity for his ease of expressing himself so smoothly.
Though this was not a hit in terms of box office collection, the movie was a perfect entertainer. Salman Khan had double role in the movie where one was innocent the other was mischievous. Both the characters were a treat for the eye to see in the movie. Apart from the movie, its music was also full entertainer.

Tere Naam (2003)
It was just Salman Khan’s fans who made Tere Naam a blockbuster. If we talk about the story, it was not too strong, but still Tere Naam made a hit movie and we need to include it in the list of Salman’s top 10 movies.
The movie gave us the jovial, entertaining and a romantic inspector Chulbul Pandey. Dabangg was again a makeover for Salman Khan and we got rid of Prem. With some signature dance steps and evergreen dialogues, Salman Fans now got Chulbul Pandey.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2014)
This film was not just a blockbuster with Rs. 321 crore earning but also a magnum opus in Salman Khan’s career. It gave Salman’s image a much-need makeover and helped his character Bajrangi fetch various awards.
Salman Khan played a wrestler in the movie and went through multiple physical transformations to get into the skin of his character. The actor also got into controversies for his statement when asked about the tedious shooting schedule for wrestling scenes.
