After romantic number ‘Hans Mat Pagli Pyaar Ho Jayega’, Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has released another song. The new Holi song ‘Gori Tu Latth Maar’ will drag the listeners to the fun-filled time of the festival of colors.
The song is way different from usual Holi songs where the actors are usually seen dancing on the high beats. Though it is a Holi song, but it is way more different from Akshay Kumar’s previous Holi song ‘Go Pagal’ in Jolly LLB2.
The song has been picturised on the popular concept of ‘latth maar holi of Barsana. The video is very gloomy, something we have not seen in Bollywood Holi songs. The actress is shown angry with the actor who later asks her to punish him for not fighting hard for the battle of getting proper sanitation. Both the lead actors look heartbroken in the song and Bhumi Pednekar can be seen hitting Akshay Kumar with a stick.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is a comic-drama with excellent performances of veteran actors like Anupam Kher, Rajesh Sharma and Akshay Kumar. The movie rotates around a noble cause of having proper sanitation in the village, which is also related to Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.
As against chopping every movie, the Central Board of Film Certificate (CBFC) chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani praised the concept of Toilet: Ek Prem Katcha and said it should be made tax free.
