With release of Padmavati first look, Navratri has kicked off on a filmy note. Sanjay Leela Bhansali released first look of it’s much awaited and a highly controversial movie Padmavati.

Every since the announcement of the movie was made, there has been a lot of speculations about the lead actor Deepika Padukone’s look as Rani Padmavati. Many people though tried to spoil the fun by posting picture with the title ‘leaked pictures of Padmavati’ by the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali successfully kept the real look under wraps. Now finally the wait is over and the suspense has been revealed.

Deepika Padukone unveiled the posters of Padmavati on Twitter. She wished her fans “Happy Navratri” with the Padmavati first look. In her regal look as Padmavati, the beautiful lady is looking completely different from her look in another historical movie Bajirao Mastani. Clad in heavy jewelry, red and gold outfit, Deepika Padukone in looking fierce as Rani Padmavati.

Deepika Padukone posted movie posters with two tweets. In one she introduced fans with the Rani Padmavati saying, “देवी स्थापना के शुभ अवसर पर मिलिए रानी पद्मावती से #Padmavati”

However, the director has still maintained suspense by not revealing Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh who are playing Rana Rawal Ratan Singh and Alauddin Khilji respectively. Both the actors are missing from the posters released today.

Along with Padmavati first look, the director has also announced the release date. Earlier scheduled to be released on November 17, Padmavati will now finally hit the silver screen on December 1, 2017.
