Veteran actress Reema Lagoo died in the wee hours on 18th May, 2017. She complained of chest pain at midnight after which she was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (Mumbai), where the 59 years old actress took her last breath at around 3.00 am.
Her son-in-law Vinay Waikul told, “She was complaining of chest pain so we took her to hospital around 1 AM. She passed away due to a heart attack around 3.15 AM. She was perfectly fine and had no health issues…so it is really shocking for all us that she is no more with us.”
As soon as the industry got to know about her demise, all the co-stars and other actors started pouring in their condolences through tweets on micro blogging website Twitter.

Veteran actress worked in various hit movies and serials like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Vaastav, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Saajan and many more. Shriman Shrimati and Tu Tu Main Main are two of her super hit comedy TV shows. Presently, the veteran actress was playing a negative character of Dayawanti Mehta in Star Plus’ serial Naamkaran.
In her four decades of career in the entertainment industry, the lady played many memorable roles in various TV serials, Hindi movies and Marathi movies. She is survived by a theatre and film actress daughter Mrunmayee.
