Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 is one of the most awaited movies. Be its 2.0 first poster or the trailer, the fans have been waiting for every update eagerly. After so many changes in the release dates, makers have now announced the final date. They have locked April 27, 2018 for the release of 2.0.
Now what’s so special about this date? Before announcement of the release schedule there was nothing special in the date, but it has become now. The Thalaiva fans will no doubt go to watch 2.0, but other movie goers who decide to watch a movie not just by looking at the actor but also based on other factors will have problem. Actually, as per the new release date of 2.0, the movie will clash with not just one but three other big films.
After announcement of the new release date in April, it is noticed that the movie will clash with Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi and Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2. Now be it Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi or Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, all the movies releasing with 2.0 have a huge potential to rule at the box office and a large audience base. However, 2.0 has two big names, Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth making the box office game stronger.
In my personal opinion, 2.0 might make other movies look smaller. It is not just because of the whopping budget of Rs. 400 crore with which it has been made but also unique marketing strategies used by the makers. Rajinikanth’s movies are popular for their unique marketing strategies like in Kabali. Makers have already started promoting 2.0 by sending huge hot air balloons across different locations not just in India but also in Los Angeles. Apart from balloons with life sized poster of 2.0, the makers also organized a grand event in Dubai for the audio launch of the movie.
