20 Movies That We Don’t Want To Miss in 2017

With some brilliant movies like Neerja, Pink, Sultan, Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi and Kapoor & Sons, and some lackluster movies like Shivaay, Fan, Baar Baar Dekho and Rock On 2, 2016 has been a mixed year for the Bollywood. Some movies like Mohenjo Daro and Mirzya proved to be disasters even after strong concepts. The upcoming year looks promising with a list of some big and strong movies. Here are 20 movies that we think won’t disappoint and waiting for their release eagerly.

  1. Raees

The trailer of Raees was launched on December 7 and within launch of two days it has got millions of views. The trailer itself says that the film will be the biggest blockbuster of the year. It will release on 25 January, 2017.

Hrithik Roshan has always got special appraisal for his difficult roles like a man-child with special needs in Koi Mil Gaya and a paralyzed man in Guzaarish. In the upcoming movie Kaabil, Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam will be playing a blind couple. The kickass trailer has launched and showed amazing chemistry of the lead pair.

Having Shahid Kapoorm Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut as lead roles, the movie has been set in the 1940s, an era of the Second World War. This is the movie I am excited to watch due to Kangana and Shahid.

Extremely popular and the most loved couple of Aashique 2, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are back with their amazing chemistry. They are reuniting for Ok Jaanu, which is the Hindi remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film Ok Kanmani.

Whosoever has watched Jolly LLB will be able to understand why I am so excited to watch the sequel. Though Jolly LLB was a sleeper hit of 2013, the movie had amazing concept. In the sequel, Akshay Kumar has replaced Arshad Warsi as the lead actor. Huma Qureshi and Annu Kapoor will be other important characters in the movie.

Year 2017 will not be just for the mainstream entertainer movies. It also has in box some thoughtful and serious movies and one of them is Naam Shabana. The movie is prequel to 2015’s blockbuster Baby. It has Pink’s lead actress Taapsee Pannu in the lead role.

The comedy movie is a satirical take on PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan.’

The movie has already grabbed a lot of attention due to casting and other problems. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati seems to be one of the most promising movies of the year.
