The storyline of the movie is based on a real life incident where Indian nurses were held hostage by a terrorist group in Iraq. Director Ali Abbas Zafar got so affected by the incident that he decided to make a movie on it.
- Not a sequel of Ek Tha Tiger
Director Ali Abbas Zafar had no plans to promote Tiger Zinda Hai as a sequel to Ek Tha Tiger as he had written a completely different political thriller for this. He changed his mind after producer Aditya Chopra inspired him to do this.
- Experts for stunt scenes
Stunt scenes in the movie have been directed by the famous stunt director Tom struthers, who has shown his extraordinary work in Hollywood movies like ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, ‘X-Men: First Class’ and ‘Warcraft’.
