Watch Official Trailer of Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Raees

Finally the wait is over and first trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s much awaited and controversial movie Raees is out. SRK fans are eagerly waiting to see their favorite star in a gangster’s role.

First trailer of film shows electrifying drama and action between Shah Rukh Khan as the gangster Raees Alam and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the cop. Directed by Rahul Dholakia, this gangster saga shows the King Khan in a completely different look from the ones we have been seeing in the past few years.

Along with the selected theatres across India, the trailer of the movie was also released on all the digital platforms. During the launch, Shah Rukh Khan talked to his fans in the theaters via teleconference.

Shah Rukh showed his excitement and happiness via a tweet with the caption “So happy 2 c all the FanClubs ready for the trailer. Thk u so much for ur lov. Reaching in 10mins & then Raees is urs.”

In the movie, Shah Rukh Khan plays a gangster Raees Alam. Said to be modeled on Abdul Latif, real-life Gujarate gangster, the movie seems to be very promising.

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is making her Bollywood debut from the film as Raees’ wife. Due to the issues going between India and Pakistan, her role, reportedly, has been cut short in the final print of the movie.

The trailer shows catchy dialogues by SRK and Nawazuddin Siddiqui both. It starts with a dialogue “Ammi jaan kehti thi, koi dhanda chotta nahi hota, aur koi dhandha se bada koi dharam nahi hoga.” by Raees Alam played by Shah Rukh Khan which is followed by another dialogue from Nawazuddin. In a warning tone, ACP Majumdar played by Nawazuddin says, “Jisko tu dhanda bolta hai na, crime hai woh. Dhanda band karle warna saans lena mushkil kar doonga.” These two dialogues perfectly set the tone of the film.

The movie is scheduled to release on 25 January, next year. The release of Raees is clashing with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil.

The movie has already seen so many controversies and problems due to the storyline and Pakistani actress. Now another issue is with the release date. Earlier both the films were to release on 26 January, but due to clash, Rakesh Roshan, producer of Kaabil shifted it to 25 January. Now Shah Rukh Khan has also decided the same date, on which Rakesh Roshan said, “Whatever dates we are taking, they are following us. I would have never done the same. I belong to an old school of filmmaking and I have given 50 years of my life to the industry. I would never release my film on a day when another filmmaker has already announced their film. I decided to remove Krrish 4 also from Christmas 2018 because I saw SRK’s film is coming that day. I could have easily released my film with Befikre or even with Dangal if I had to clash. But when I announced the film in February, I saw a clean window in January and hence I picked the date. I can’t get into this new groove of things because I don’t understand it.”

Both Shah Rukh and Nawazuddin looked promising in the trailer. From the trailer, one can easily say that it is going to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2017.
